  • Carthus Curved Greatsword: Random drop from the red-eyed Grave Warden skeletons that carry it.
  • Carthus Shield: Random drop from the red-eyed Grave Warden skeletons that carry it.
  • Bonewheel Shield: Random drop from the rolling Bonewheel Skeletons.
  • Knight Slayer's Ring: Dropped by Knight Slayer Tsorig, who invades past a metal gate before the rope bridge (be embered).
  • Carthus Milkring: Behind a vase in a trapped room full of urns, past the stairway with the rolling skeleton ball.
  • Carthus Bloodring: At the end of the hallway patrolled by Bonewheel Skeletons.
  • Thunder Stoneplate Ring+1: NG+: behind a vase in the trapped urn room past the skeleton-ball stairway.
  • Ring of Steel Protection+2: NG++: on a pillar below the long bridge; roll onto it.
  • My Thanks!: Knight Slayer Tsorig hands it over whether you or he wins, when he invades in Carthus or meets you in the Demon Ruins.
  • Carthus Pyromancy Tome: Catacombs of Carthus: behind an illusory wall in a pillared room off the main route.
  • Grave Warden Pyromancy Tome: Catacombs of Carthus: in High Lord Wolnir's arena, also lying in the room after the fight.
  • Grave Warden's Ashes: Catacombs of Carthus: up the stairs behind an illusory wall off the main hall.
  • Soul of High Lord Wolnir: Dropped by High Lord Wolnir.
  • Soul of a Demon: Dropped by the Fire Demon on the way down from the Catacombs of Carthus to Smouldering Lake.
  • Undead Bone Shard: Catacombs of Carthus: kill the hat-wearing skeleton by the big stairs; the rolling skeleton ball then breaks open and drops it.

Walkthrough: Catacombs of Carthus

  • At Firelink Shrine talk to Hawkwood for the Farron Ring; reload if he is not on the stairs.
  • Reload again: he is gone and Hawkwood's Shield lies by a gravestone outside where the dog roams.
  • Eygon of Carim is now in the shrine; exhaust his dialogue so he can help in a later fight.
  • Enter the catacombs from the Abyss Watchers bonfire; Carthus Rouge x2 is on the left.
  • NG++ only: the Ring of Steel Protection+2 is on a pillar under the bridge.
  • Past the bridge go up the stairs on the left and turn back right for a Soul of a Nameless Soldier.
  • Turn back, take the ladder down and find another Soul of a Nameless Soldier.
  • In the pillar room hit the right wall to reveal the Carthus Pyromancy Tome.
  • A Sharp Gem lies on the right of the pillar room.
  • The next room holds Titanite Shard x2 in the far left corner.
  • Before the long staircase, take the hallway on the left to meet Anri, who is looking for Horace. Exhaust her dialogue.
  • On the platform beside her, kill a Crystal Lizard for a Twinkling Titanite and take Bloodred Moss Clump x3.
  • On the left of the big staircase is an Ember.
  • At the bottom, kill the hatted skeleton hiding in the next room; the rolling skeleton ball then smashes the gate and leaves an Undead Bone Shard.
  • In the next hallway, the Carthus Milkring hides behind big vases on the right.
  • NG+ only: the Thunder Stoneplate Ring+1 is among those vases.
  • The bone-strewn hallway holds a Large Soul of an Unknown Traveler and an Ember at its end; mind the hole.
  • Where the second skeleton ball starts is a Large Titanite Shard.
  • Light the Catacombs of Carthus bonfire in the hallway on the left.
  • Downstairs, right and right again into the Skeleton Wheel corridor for Titanite Shard x2 on the left wall.
  • At its end is the Carthus Bloodring.
  • In the main room a body by a pillar carries Titanite Shard x2.
  • Hit the wall right of that body and climb to the Grave Warden's Ashes.
  • Across the room on the right is a Large Titanite Shard.
  • Kill the hatted skeleton so the ball breaks and reveals a Dark Gem.
  • On the second level by the skeleton archer is Carthus Rouge x3.
  • In the tunnel past the hidden wall, a Crystal Lizard drops a Fire Gem.
  • Outside the tunnel on the left is Yellow Bug Pellet x3.
  • At the skeleton gate find a Large Soul of a Nameless Soldier and Black Bug Pellet x2.
  • Open the gate for an Ember beyond it.
  • In the tunnel back to the pillar room, Knight Slayer Tsorig invades if you are embered. Win or lose you get the My Thanks! gesture; killing him gives the Knight Slayer's Ring.
  • Before the bridge go right to Anri again and exhaust her dialogue.
  • Drop down left of Anri and follow the path to the boss.
  • Defeat High Lord Wolnir for the Soul of High Lord Wolnir.
  • If you missed it during the fight, the Grave Warden Pyromancy Tome is in the far left corner of the goblet room. Only Karla can read it.
