Archdragon Peak

A mountain temple of drakes and dragon-worshippers, crowned by the Nameless King.

  • Suggested level: 75–90

  • Ancient Wyvern: Skip the brawl: climb the side structure and plunge onto its head for a near-instant kill.
  • Nameless King: A two-stage duel against the storm drake and its rider, then the king on foot. Delayed swings punish early rolls.

Items found here

  • Drakeblood Greatsword: Dropped by the respawning knight on the lowest floor of the Dragon-Kin Mausoleum.
  • Ricard's Rapier: Dropped by the knight summoned by a caster in the U-shaped room after the second wyvern.
  • Man Serpent Hatchet: Random drop from hatchet-wielding Man-serpents, e.g. below the Great Belfry bonfire.
  • Dragon Tooth: Dropped by the Havel Knight, found in the building opposite the Great Belfry stairs or sometimes spawning at the Dragon-Kin Mausoleum.
  • Dragonslayer Spear: Hanging at the wooden gate up in the Dragon-Kin Mausoleum.
  • Mendicant's Staff: Random drop from spell-casting Man-serpents below the Great Belfry bonfire.
  • Ancient Dragon Greatshield: On a ledge right up the second staircase from the first bonfire.
  • Havel's Greatshield: Dropped by the Havel Knight, found in the building opposite the Great Belfry stairs or sometimes spawning at the Dragon-Kin Mausoleum.
  • Dragonslayer Helm: Lies in the Nameless King's arena, near the Great Belfry.
  • Dragonslayer Armor: Lies in the Nameless King's arena, near the Great Belfry.
  • Dragonslayer Gauntlets: Lies in the Nameless King's arena, near the Great Belfry.
  • Dragonslayer Leggings: Lies in the Nameless King's arena, near the Great Belfry.
  • Ring of Steel Protection: Along a narrow path behind a railing at the far right end of the Ancient Wyvern area.
  • Thunder Stoneplate Ring: Up a ladder near the wooden platforms, right at the wooden gate above the Dragon-Kin Mausoleum.
  • Lightning Clutch Ring: At the end of the path left of the big gate before the Ancient Wyvern.
  • Calamity Ring: Perform the Path of the Dragon gesture at the altar on the bottom floor of the Dragon-Kin Mausoleum.
  • Havel's Ring+1: NG+: around the corner of the rest room halfway along the long path down from the Great Belfry.
  • Covetous Gold Serpent Ring+2: NG++: in the Nameless King's arena; reload the area after the fight.
  • Great Magic Barrier: Archdragon Peak: drop through a hole in the wall near Havel and the dead dragon, then go right.
  • Dragon Chaser's Ashes: Archdragon Peak: on a side ledge to the left of the long path to the summit altar.
  • Soul of the Nameless King: Dropped by the Nameless King.
  • Titanite Slab: Archdragon Peak: next to the dead dragon where Havel the Rock stands.
  • Titanite Slab: Archdragon Peak: on a corpse in the Nameless King's arena after the fight.
  • Dragon Head Stone: Dropped by the Ancient Wyvern.
  • Twinkling Dragon Torso Stone: Archdragon Peak: perform Path of the Dragon at the altar at the end of the long uphill path.

Walkthrough: Archdragon Peak

  • Go to the dragon statue in Irithyll Dungeon and perform Path of the Dragon to travel to Archdragon Peak.
  • By the tree near your arrival point is a Soul of a Weary Warrior.
  • On top of the large rock ahead is a Lightning Gem.
  • On the cliff to the left are Homeward Bone x2.
  • Behind rocks a little further is a Titanite Chunk.
  • An Ember sits next to the Archdragon Peak bonfire.
  • Right of the structure ahead is a Soul of a Nameless Soldier; to its left a Titanite Chunk.
  • On top of the structure is the Ancient Dragon Greatshield; another Titanite Chunk lies in the corner below.
  • Follow the path left of the gate for the Lightning Clutch Ring.
  • Kill the Ancient Wyvern (a plunging attack from above ends it fast) for the Dragon Head Stone.
  • You are moved to the Dragon-Kin Mausoleum bonfire afterwards.
  • Go back to the start of the wyvern area.
  • Mid-arena is a Large Soul of a Weary Warrior.
  • To the right are Stalk Dung Pie x6 and two Ember pickups.
  • Walk along the outside of the broken railing at the end for the Ring of Steel Protection.
  • Left of the arena middle is a Large Soul of a Nameless Soldier; up the stairs and left is Lightning Urn x4.
  • Follow the main path into the domed building on the left for a Titanite Chunk.
  • Down the ladder is Twinkling Titanite x2.
  • Back on the main path, Dung Pie x3 sits at the platform edge.
  • Head up onto this building's roof: Titanite Chunk x2 and Lightning Bolt x12 are there.
  • Return to the plunge spot and climb the ladder at the other end for Twinkling Titanite x2.
  • Kill the Drakeblood Knight at the mausoleum for the Drakeblood Greatsword. Then go back to the Path of the Dragon altar by Oceiros for the Drakeblood Set.
  • Perform Path of the Dragon at the mausoleum altar for the Calamity Ring.
  • Turn around and follow the path for two Titanite Scale pickups.
  • In the altar room, back left, is a Soul of a Crestfallen Knight.
  • On the top level an exit on the right leads to a Titanite Scale on a body.
  • Back inside, turn left to open a shortcut.
  • Interact with the wooden gate for the Dragonslayer Spear.
  • Head downstairs and climb the ladder by the scaffolding for the Thunder Stoneplate Ring.
  • A Crystal Lizard further on drops Twinkling Titanite x3; the next room's chest holds Titanite Scale x3.
  • Jump onto the little stone altar in that first room for a Soul of a Weary Warrior.
  • The wyvern ahead can be shot down safely with arrows; it drops Titanite Chunk x6, Titanite Scale x3 and Twinkling Titanite x3 plus many souls.
  • In the next building the Rapier Champion drops Ricard's Rapier; sometimes a Havel Knight appears instead with the Dragon Tooth and Havel's Greatshield.
  • Do not ring the bell in the next room until you have finished exploring the peak.
  • Continue to the Great Belfry bonfire.
  • Down the stairs, in the middle, is a Large Soul of a Crestfallen Knight.
  • If he has left Firelink, summon Hawkwood at the foot of the stairs below the bonfire. Fight up the hill and perform Path of the Dragon at the top altar for the Twinkling Dragon Torso Stone.
  • On the climb, the Dragon Chaser's Ashes lie off to the left.
  • NG+ only: Havel's Ring+1 is in a corner behind the structure halfway up.
  • Go down the hill through the structure on the left to a ladder; a chest beside it holds Twinkling Titanite x3.
  • Climb the ladder to find Havel by a dead dragon. Kill him for the Dragon Tooth and Havel's Greatshield; a Titanite Slab lies by the dragon.
  • Drop down a ledge left of Havel for the Great Magic Barrier miracle.
  • Havel's Set now waits near the Stray Demon above the Old Wolf of Farron.
  • Andre passes on Hawkwood's challenge. Duel him at the Abyss Watchers bonfire: winning gives the Twinkling Dragon Head Stone, losing costs the Torso Stone. Retry as often as needed.
  • Ring the bell to call the final boss of the peak.
  • Defeat the Nameless King for the Soul of the Nameless King.
  • Turn around and take the Ember from the body in the other room.
  • After the fight, a body in the arena holds a Titanite Slab; further along the way back to the mausoleum is the Dragonslayer Set.
  • NG++ only: check the side staircases near the summit for the Covetous Gold Serpent Ring+2.
